Secure Messaging
Nexor’s links to secure messaging date back to the early 1990s, resulting in Nexor becoming one of the best known niche players in this arena with our technology underpinning secure government communications systems around the globe. We have been involved in defining and implementing the standards that support these environments, including the military standards that are the benchmark for any organisation aspiring to enforce security policies and implement the highest levels of security around its messaging systems. Of key importance is that Nexor technology complements any existing infrastructure by adding seven aspects of functionality:
- Submission, delivery and distribution of secure messages
- Ensuring security and classification labelling of content
- Authorisation, authentication and verification
- Guaranteed delivery and action of critical traffic
- Tracking, tracing and audit
- Border management
- Integration APIs
The latter element is particularly essential in a world where cross domain communication requirements have increased. Nexor’s secure border gateway and guard capability ensures that only the information intended for sharing is permitted to cross domain boundaries. This can be across internal domain separations and also externally, between government departments and agencies and those industrial partners that form part of critical infrastructure projects.
Nexor solutions are highly configurable to provide flexibility. A comprehensive set of APIs is available to allow Nexor’s security consultants to assist with customisation or third party integrators to develop secure solutions to meet local and national requirements.
